Sash (b) is a long narrow strip of the same white cotton gauze.

This wedding dress was donated by Mary Lee Hartzell, class of 1953. Mary Lee's daughter, Leontine Hartzell, class of 1979, wore the dress in her 1981 wedding. It was donated along with Mary Lee's own wedding dress, her mother's wedding dress, and her sister's wedding dress.

Treatment
Arms of batting covered in nylon were added to the mannequin to support the sleeves. A slip was dressed on the mannequin to provide a background layer under the sheer lace insets of the dress.
