Description

Dress (a) of cream rayon moire faille; above-knee length skirt with single pleat in center back; two-piece tailored sleeve; no waistline, half-belt at center back waist with two plastic four-leaf clover buttons; princess seam torso; mandarin style collar. Shoes (b&c): Low-heel; cream-colored satin; buckle detail on top; 2 oval cutouts by toe with two rows of rhinestones in between; burnt septia leather sole, 2.25" heel, square toe.

This jacket style wedding mini-dress was donated by Mary Lee Hartzell, class of 1953. Mary Lee's sister, Ellen McPhillips Baumann, class of 1963, wore the dress in her 1968 wedding. The dress was donated along with Mary Lee's own wedding dress, her mother's wedding dress, and her daughter's wedding dress.

Shoes: a little scuffed, small cracks on inside, sole is worn.

Treatment

The dress was steamed. The chest area of the form was padded. Arms were provided and the sleeves were padded out. The neck was also padded.
