Description
Wedding ensemble with components of cream silk crepe back satin, lace, metal, pearl, wax, and leather. Dress (a): bias cut; bodice with curved seam under bust; two-layered sleeves below with round buttons on lower portion of center back sleeves; lace cowl neck; inset buttons at center back; natural waist line; full length; straight skirt with flounced train which is higher at center back; two box pleats at front of skirt where skirt meets added flounce. Belt (b): crepe back satin with metal buckle adorned with pearl; closure at center front. Veil (c ) of net with applied wide lace border; circlet of net twisted with strand of pearls; wax orange blossoms. Shoes (d and e): t-strap heels of cream fabric over leather with panels of silver intertwined.

Treatment
A slip from Vassar's theatrical costume stock was altered to fit underneath the dress as a foundation garment. Padded arms of batting covered with nylon were added to support the sleeves.
